I was recently contacted by the owner of 1971 Vespa VBC1T for some 'minor' metalwork repairs on his project scooter. He dropped by my home the day prior to the covid_19 virtual martial law lockdown in Victoria, OZ. It had sat outside prior to his ownership for quite some time allowing the inevitable corrosion to start eating away at its metal frame. Like most of the classic Vespas I've repaired there was also a gapping hole in the underside of the tunnel. It truly is a moisture trap as designed.I'm going to post a series of photos to illustrate the repairs with minimal text from this point forward.The Vespa as arrived.Edited 3 time(s).
