74 Vespa SuperI recently sold the 74 Super and am now rocking a 79 P200 VespaI've owned a 74 Vespa Super for about a year now and racked up over 2,000 miles on it. 2 Stroke OilUse Motul 710 (Blue/Green in color) to fill the 2 stroke oil tank since the 74 Vespa Super uses an oil injector rather than premix. Do not use Motul 800 (Orange/Brown in color) This is for bikes where you are mixing 2 stroke oil into the gas tank. Cylinder Head Installation/RemovalIf you are ever removing or installing the cylinder head it is very important to remove/torque the nuts in the proper order or you can actually damage the cylinder head. If you are installing the cylinder head use a torque wrench to get everything equally torqued to the proper spec.
OP Humanbean Member Vespa super 150 Joined:Posts: 41quote Thanks for all of the input guys,I'll begin with checking the voltages. The battery is only a few months old, So I'm hoping it's not the weak link here. But every so often I polish up the connections when the turn signals are being especially finicky. I'll check the front turn signals when I get home too. It would be something to brag about if I could do it with my old Vespa though lol.

Looks to be a lower mileage, Super in decent shape. If it is stuck at 30 but the odometer still clicks over, then the mileage may be somewhat accurate. Check under the bike and look for any rust areas on the bottom of the floorboard area. Ask what work has been done to it, if so, where/who did the work (professional shop or shade-tree mechanic). Basic starting point of what to look for and look at.
General InformationThe Vespa Super was successor to the venerable Vespa 125 and 150 VNA/VBB. On the right side of the legshield, there were two that said "Vespa" and "Super" in cursive script. This headset sported a new smaller speedometer that was also used on the Vespa 125 Smallframe, and became the standard Vespa speedometer on all models until the introduction of the P-series. All Vespa Supers imported to the U.S. after 1973 had turn signals fitted as standard equipment in order to satisfy American regulations. However other Vespa models did just about everything better.
That's certainly a Bajaj headset, and Bajaj made a "Bajaj Super" that looks exactly like that machine from what I can see. Indian headset duh on my part!) The Indian headset B. Indian headset duh on my part! The Indian headset B.

This 1974 Vespa 150 Super is one of them. I never would have imagined that this lemon yellow color would be an original color but it is. The owner says that this Vespa 150 Super has been in a dry shed for over two decades and it does look pretty good, relatively. The 150 Super had a 145.5 cc single with just under 8 hp and this one turns over and has good compression but the seller hasn’t tried to start it. Have any of you owned a Vespa scooter?
