DescriptionComplete AC Wiring Harness for Vintage Vespas. This is a very common wiring harness for a number of Vespas made from 1961-1977. It's an all AC harness that's designed for scooters that have the following electrical equipment: Headlight (Hi & Low), Pilot light, Horn, Brake and Tail Lights. This harness will work for any AC Vespa Small Frame scooter that has the same electrical system described above. Note, if you're going to be installing this in a Small Frame the wires at the junctions box at the motor will be excessively long.

The GL front brake hub drum is different than other 10 inch large frames. (See pictures below)This GL drum is hard to find and if someone has one to sell please let me know. The larger wheels put it in the high-line category, but it did not have the same powerful motor as the performance scooters. Early versions were manufactured for specific European markets, and were basically a standard Vespa 150 with larger 10" wheels. would be the German market "Vespa Touring," of which many were made. Add to that a brake lever/master cylinder combo and the brake hose, then things are getting close to the PK fork conversion price, which is probably what I would do next time for a tuned oldie. To fit the kit and to do anything to the hub, axel or the caliper, once the kit is fitted, you have to remove the disc from the hub by removing the 5 torx head screws. The kit fits straight onto the exisitng forks with no drilling or welding, so you can easily revert back to the original brakes. The screw holding the caliper bracket came loose inside the hub after a very serious emergency stop.
