I've never seen the two together and it would help to get an idea of how small the small frame really is. Is the ET2 considered a large frame or small frame? I don't have any photos side by side, but the most outwardly noticeable difference is the ability to removed the bulbous side panels of a large frame. There are 125cc smallframes but none larger than that.
Piaggio's decision to enter this market and build the smallframe Vespa proved to be one of the best choices they ever made. BodyFrameThe smallframe Vespa was one of the last of the Vespa designs to be penned by Corradano D'Ascanio, the designer of the first Vespa. A few years later Piaggio improved on the 125, and created the Vespa 125 “Primavera” (VMA2). They came in two sizes, nine inch for the Vespa 50 N, and ten inch for the Vespa 50 S and the Vespa 90. All things considered, the smallframe Vespa is probably the best Vespa to tune, and one of the most practical Vespas to own.
The 135cc cylinder kit has been re-worked for increased performance and reliability. If fitting to a 50cc Vespa Engine:You will need a 90/100/125cc crank shaft, 4 Longer Studs, and a Cylinder Shroud. Don't forget to pair the cylinder kit with a Malossi 20mm Carburetor and a Malossi Power ExhaustDon't forget to add a few Main Jets, if you add the exhaust. This particular cylinder kit offers the flexibility to be run via the stock rotary valve intake or via a reed-block mounted directly to the cylinder. When it comes to quality performance scooter parts, MALOSSI is the long-standingindustry leader for price, selection, and quality.
In cars it's expressed as the second number and reflects a ratio of the tire's width (e.g. in a 255/40/17 the sidewall height is 40% of the tire's width of 255, mounted on a 17" rim). In scooter tires we just talk about rim size and width (10" x 4") but the profile isn't mentioned. As for cost, well, they are worth exactly what someone is willing to pay. I didn't think much of small frames until I actually got to ride one...and it was only a V90 3 speed. It's so light, balanced, shifted so smooth through the gears and I felt like you could turn it on a dime..it was a pretty sweet ride. I would pay big bucks for a small frame racer +1I didn't think much of small frames until I actually got to ride one...and it was only a V90 3 speed. I would pay big bucks for a small frame racer
Good takes practice lucky just happensPosts: 728Location: Left Coast Nickastan Ca USAScoot Veteran Port matching cases on a small frame Vespa. on a crankcase inducted engine I see the benefit of port matching, but on this cylinder inducted setup, the mixture goes through the reeds into the cylinder ports and into combustion chamber. I thought this was a performance killer as well.but the port matching I was asking about id between cylinder base and crankcase mounting surfaces. on a crankcase inducted engine I see the benefit of port matching, but on this cylinder inducted setup, the mixture goes through the reeds into the cylinder ports and into combustion chamber. I am however becoming drawn to building up a small frame, and had a few questions. 1) I’m 6’ tall, will I fit on a small frame?! 3) What sort of fuel economy / range could I expect from a 130cc tuned small frame? No matter what speed you will always arrive in style on a small frame.
