Each side has ball joint steering swivels unlike the MP3 which uses what used to be called kingpins swivelling on the notorious rolling element bearings. However suspension on the MP3 uses completely independent leading links with individual spring/shock absorbers whereas the wishbones on the Peugeot also act as suspension members and even share a transverse spring mounted horizontally above them. On the Metropolis if one front wheel rises the force through the spring would tend to push down the other side. This contrasts with the transverse beams on the MP3 which guarantee that the scooter pivots about fixed locations on the headstock axis. If anyone can provide in-depth technical details for the Metropolis I would be very interested.

I'd rather work on a Ciao over a Peugeot any day. Ciao's are probably my favorite moped frame, and terry basically hit the nail on the head. Peugeot's are good too, just never had one I truly loved. This is supported by the fact that I've sold every pug that I've owned, and currently have 2 ciaos
