Any tips dealing with paint suppliers here in Vic ? Ginch, I've been reading this thread with great interest. From what I've read you may have issues finding a metallic colour from these codes but the plain colours shold be easy enough from a PPG dealer... was it a particular colour you were looking for?

This is interesting, I am restoring my MK1 P200E (Douglas), and similarly was looking for an original white paint with little joy. I like the bit about asking someone to chip some paint off....lol..VespressoHigh NumberPosts: 103High Number 1964 Sportique Douglas Paint Codes via mobile Quote Select PostSelect Post Deselect PostDeselect Post Link to PostLink to Post Member Give GiftMember Back to Top Post by Vespresso on tranquilitybase said:Do you know who makes the paint.

As I wait, new colours become available, like marfil which looks like a light beige or a dark cream colored. I love the colour (though prefer a dark brown seat to the black one that seems to come as standard) and want to know if anyone has a Vespa with this beige colour and have added Mod or sporty decals to it? I have been on lots of websites and yet to see a photo of a Vespa in the marfil/beige/dark cream colour WITH decals. Do Mod & sporty decals clash with beige/marfil/cream coloured Vespas?I am in what seems like my perpetual wait to get funds in order to buy my first Vespa.

Edmund you mean to say a Bajaj 150 engine was transplanted to the scooter? From July 1971-75 or even later for some months in 1976, the horn/nose cast was the same as the Vespa 150. I seem to be on a roll here, bagged my second vespa 150, a 1965 one today!

I pais $700 for painting my P200E and fixing some minor scratches. My P200E is one of these scooters that was a very low mile/very low use when I got it (2500 miles) so the paint was in very decent condition. Vacuum or wipe clean routinely with a microfibre cloth lightly dampened with cold water only. Soak up spillages as soon as possible with an absorbent dry cloth to prevent staining. Do not steam clean. Do not tumble dry. Do not apply solvents, alcohol or any other chemical cleaners.
Hi all!I've recently got a T5 Classic frame from my mate, sadly without the engine and documents. I might try to restore and register it in the future as a historical vehicle, but I need to know something more about the model. I know T5 Classic were made for British and Irish markets, but it's hard to find any more informations about them on the web. Purely from my crap memory the Pole Position ran from 85-90 or 91, therefor the Classic will have started around 91 or 92 and ran through until 99/2000. The last batch was the Millenium and came with a disc frontend in a crap cream/beige colour.
