The new Vespa 946 Emporio Armani was developed by Giorgio Armani and Piaggio to celebrate two of the most recognized symbols of style and Italian creativity. To mark the 40th anniversary of the Giorgio Armani’s company and the 130th of the Piaggio Group, Emporio Armani has designed a special version of Vespa called ‘Vespa 946‘. Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is chic and has clean lines. The Vespa 946 is a limeted and numbered edition. The price is still unknown but is expected that Vespa 946 Emporio Armani will cost 13,000 euros without accessories.
This new version of the Vespa 946 sports an exclusive color scheme conceived by the maestro himself: a dark shade of matte gray with a touch of green that pops up only under specific lighting conditions. All the metallic elements of the body and of the rolling gear are painted in this Armani Gray that complements the retro styling of the Vespa 946 and further enhances its appeal. The seat trim and grips, as well as an optional leather bag, all in leather, are beautifully color coordinated.
The Vespa 946's design is quite exquisite when compared to other scooters on the market, even Vespa's own models. The floating seat is the most eye-catching feature of the bike. The body detailings of the scooter are majestic , which makes it stand apart from other scooters available in market right now. The scooter has more curves but keeps the original Vespa silhouette. The metal parts get a galvanic treatment for durability and a special satin black coat that gives the bike a unique sheen. The bike gets armani logo's in glossy black to keep an understated look while the wheels too get a black finishHints of futuristic style can be seen in the LED headlamps and LED tail lamps integrated into the bodywork and a full LCD instrument console.

From Sting’s Ace Face in 1979’s Quadrophenia to Armie Hammer as Russian spy Illya Kuryakin in The Man From U.N.C.L.E., riding a Vespa scooter is key to completing the debonair badass look. Andrew Hadjiminas, president of Vespa Manhattan, is, of course, keen to push the practical aspects of such a small, economic vehicle, too. The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani (pictured) was created to celebrate Giorgio Armani’s 40th anniversary and the 130th anniversary of Vespa’s parent company, the Piaggio Group. “The key function of the Armani bike is the collaboration between two great Italian companies,” Mr. Hadjiminas said. In different sunlight it changes colors, which is really awesome.” The average Vespa scooter retails for $3,699; the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani retails for a cool $10,999.
