We aimed to study the renal safety in the DEFUSE 3 population, selected with Contrast-enhanced multimodal Imaging and randomized to EVT vs. medical management. The primary outcome was the relative change in creatinine level between baseline and 24 hours in the EVT vs. medical arm. The secondary outcome was a comparison between CT vs. MRI selection in the EVT arm. Subjects were randomized 1:1 to endovascular therapy plus medical therapy versus medical therapy alone. The absolute changes (Figure 2B) were −0.08±0.18 for CTP selected patients vs. MRI (−0.07±0.19), p=0.808.
