The American launch of the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani was celebrated through a special event held at the Emporio Armani SoHo store, on 410 West Broadway, New York. As for distribution, it will be available at the Piaggio Group Americas dealers in the country's major cities, including New York, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. The next presentation is scheduled to take place in Beijing, China, on 30th October.
Vespa has announced a special edition of its 946 model, with a 10th anniversary celebration also dedicated to the Chinese New Year, 2023 being the year of the rabbit. The Vespa 946 10° Anniversario, as the 10th anniversary special edition will be called, features a green livery featuring rabbit graphics. Vespa 946 10° AnniversarioOddly, perhaps, Vespa chose not to pick one of the colours which in Chinese culture is lucky for people born in the year of the snake, as the Vespa 946 was in 2013. 1,000 units of the Vespa 946 10° Anniversario will be made, and more information on them will be released on 22 January at the beginning of the Chinese New Year celebrations.

The Vespa 946 Dragon will be limited to just 1,888 units, and will be made available in key markets, US and Canada included. Speaking of technology, the Dragon makes use of the already impressive Vespa 946 as its base. In line with the launch of the special edition scooter, Vespa has also unveiled a unique fashion item to go along with the new 946 Dragon. Dubbed the Dragon Varsity Jacket, it’s meant to echo the scooter’s legacy and style, and is made out of ribbed wool and nappa leather with an intricate dragon motif.
