Urban riders who are looking for a little more power from Vespa’s lineup will look no further than the GTS 300. This model is powered by the Italian manufacturer’s most powerful engine, the 300 HPE (High Performance Engine), and produces a claimed 23.8 hp. Helpful electronics include LED lighting, traction control, a USB port, and bike finder device. Other GTS models powered by the same 300cc single cylinder engine include the GTS Touring, GTS Super, GTS Supersport, GTS Supertech which suit a variety of riders looking for more practical, increasingly more sporty, or a more tech-equipped scooter.

While displacement remains the same 278cc as the 2018 GTS 300, a lot has changed with the Single internally. We’re told the HPE sees an 18% increase in lb-ft with the GTS 300 now putting down 19.2 at 5,250 rpm. Despite its short wheelbase and (relatively) small wheels, the GTS 300 feels planted while cornering on smooth surfaces. The 12-inch shod GTS 300, with its 54-inch wheelbase, makes for a nimble and quick steering dance partner. The 2020 Vespa GTS 300 also now has ABS both front and rear as well as traction control, which can be disabled for a bit of scooter hooliganism.
