Bought my GTS new in 2013 from Vespa Shelbyville Indiana. I keep up with the maintenance on mine and had the Mallosi V4 racing kit put on couple years ago. Had Leo Vince 4 road and the SBK mufflers but wore out both of them.

I could hear the fan coming on while it was overheating though. Have seen this on cars, fan runs fine, but not spinning as fast as it should be and vehicle overheats in traffic. Ding Ding, A big hint there, do a amp draw test on the fan motor. It may be running, but is it running fast enough? When I finally got it to the dealer they hooked it up to their Computer and tried to force the fan on with no luck.
