Consider the source... and remember your taste may not be theirs... That's it... someone already wrote this above... simple... If it's a solid frame and motor... those are the bones and count... the chingaderas people add is nothing more than personal preference. I've seen many a bike I wouldn't be caught dead on, but I keep it to myself and remember a little "whatchoo talking 'bout Willis"!!! It'll be you bike... end of story... That's what it's ALL about!!! What's the major difference between the AC and DC Vape options? I would have guessed I needed the DC version to wire in the battery. The Vespa headset switch can serve that function, either as the off/running/on of early models, which was for the lights, but can be used to switch all power. Later models had a key switch which included a kill wire for the ignition (trivially bypassed, but hey...they tried...). As I said above, I likeIronically, FridayMatinee had a multi-page battle getting his SIP harness tied in to his Vape.

Here's a thread for the HT coil:You said that you overhauled your carb so I presume all the jets and carb body have been cleaned with carb spray and compressed air. I'm not sure on UK value on a VBB but many threads on the dreaded bodges that people pick up or try to pass on to others. http://www.scooterhelp/tips/timing/points.timing.html I'm not sure on UK value on a VBB but many threads on the dreaded bodges that people pick up or try to pass on to others. Not saying yours is but be aware. http://www.rovers-usa/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1938 Good luck and cool to have a bull terrier on watch duty.

As far as I know the SS had a trapezoidal headlight and the Rally a round one. But I suppose there are always model differences in different countries. The end result is a model of the Vespa SS180 that is unique to the US market from 1967 to 1968, when the last SS180's were shipped to the United States (West coast distributer only). I also very much like the US market version of the Rally 180 but this one is 100% Vespa SS180!
Vintage Vespa is one of the leading restorers of Vespa scooters in the world, They completely strip a Vespa 150 to the bare frame and start over, rebuilding or replacing every part, nut, and bolt to create an authentic restoration. Only structurally sound Vespas are considered for restoration, the others are cut up for parts with the back ends made in matching scooter trailers! The scooter has had very light use in the year since he took delivery, covering only 95 kilometers (under 60 miles). I gave the Vespa a test run (luckily I searched the Internet for operating instructions ahead of time and only needed a few reminders to drive the scooter around.) Internet searches have already turned up an electronic .pdf version 1962 Owner's Manual (see the links above) and exploded parts breakdown.
