OP karinhelena Lurker Vespa 125cc Joined:Posts: 3Location: Stockholmquote Hi,I am originally from Sweden but plan to buy a Vespa in Spain when I move there in a few months. Is a Euro tour possible to do on a Vespa 125cc? I am thinking; Vespa Sprint 125cc, Vespa GTS Super 125cc, Vespa GTS 125cc Touring, Vespa Primavera 125cc. Then during winter spend time in Spain, either get a full license there if possible or in Sweden. One idea would be to upgrade after a year after I get my license, but wonder if there is so much difference between say GTS Super 125cc and GTS Super 300cc or if it is only the speed.
What you need to do, assuming you are 17 at least:Get a CBT (Certificate of Basic Training). Take the motorcycle theory test in the meantime (you need this even if you have a car licence). Then take the practical tests. *Then* consider getting a 200/250 - for if you have been riding for pleasure with others the 125 'whatever' will have struggled. Note if you take your test on an automatic bike - you are stuck on autos for ever unless you re-do the practical tests on a geared bike.
