The SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter replaces the minimally equipped original speedometer unit with a state-of-the-art multifunctional instrument. This means that the speedometer needle can be programmed to display either your current revs or speed. The digital display, located in the lower half of the speedometer face, can be used to show 18 different functions, which are scrolled through using the vehicles “Mode”-button. The scooters road speed can be determined by using either the original speed sensor which is built-in the vehicles wiring harness or a digital sensor system, which is separately available. Functions:▪ Analogue speed : 0-160 mph/kph▪ Digital speed : 0-260 kph▪ Analogue revs : 0-16000 rpm▪ Digital revs : 0-16000 rpm▪ Total mileage : 0000-999999 miles/km▪ Trip distance A & B : up to 9999.9mph/kph▪ Trip time A & B up to 99.59 h▪ Battery charge level (incl.
Lots of information, an accurate speed readout (one sets it by inputting the circumference of one's wheel), a tachometer, cylinder head temperature, and a light more than bright enough to see at night. The newest, v2.0, adds a fuel gauge (with replacement of one's fuel tap), and the ability to assign the needle gauge between tach and speedo (it's tach-only on v1.0). The bottom line is that the mounting bracket and sensor are not an easy fit on a vintage vespa. In the meantime I'm using the traditional mechanical connection to the speedo. One final word on the speedo: It is. The newest, v2.0, adds a fuel gauge (with replacement of one's fuel tap), and the ability to assign the needle gauge between tach and speedo (it's tach-only on v1.0).Highly recommended.
So how do you all like your digital speedos? I would also use their optional headlight switch that can operate the speedo (instead of using the switch that comes with the speedo). https://www.sip-scootershop/en/product/light-switch-sip-conversion_60091300?q=60091300The speedo i'm looking at is this one-And since i have a PK fork and Grimeca disc brake, i'll have to buy a different speedo sensor cable/wire than what comes in the kit. Several years and countless customer requests have culminated in us getting together again with the people at KOSO to develop an update to our first generation SIP Rev counter that we can truly be proud of : The SIP Rev counter/Speedometer 2.0! Its outer appearance remains strikingly similar to that of the original item and its additional functions are virtually invisible when not in use. The speedometer function can then no longer be interrupted due to failing speedometer drive worms or cables and in addition its accuracy is also improved. The total number of kilometres travelled, recorded by your original speedometer unit, can also be transferred to the km value displayed. To indicate the ebbing level in your fuel tank ‘FUEL’ starts to blink on the electronic display.
