Connected Services is a portfolio of technologies leveraging Internet of Things technologies, cloud applications and the connectivity of buildings, to improve facility operations and visitor experiences. Digitized Maintenance, a smart suite of services that use real-time data and analytics to help focus maintenance activities for optimizing buildings. THE BENEFITSBy connecting Auckland War Memorial Museum with Connected Services, the museum achieved greater transparency across building performance, occupant comfort and service maintenance effectiveness. Transparency of service effectiveness initiates all service issues via an automated workflow; app-based notifications promotes timely issue resolution and integrates into reporting and dashboards. Empowered with Honeywell Connected Services, the Auckland WarMemorial Museum can in future extract greater value from building performance data, enable their Future Museum Strategy including energy reduction, visitor flow optimization, and extend the lifecycle of its critical mechanical plant and more.
As hospitals worldwide are faced with influxes of patients due to COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, local governments are converting unexpected places into field hospitals and treatment wards. Employ remote monitoring : use remote monitoring tools to improve building performance and help reduce downtime through proactive and predictive maintenance. : use remote monitoring tools to improve building performance and help reduce downtime through proactive and predictive maintenance. From a fire and life safety system, using advanced fire detection system, low frequency sounders and strobes and mass notification systems can help ensure patient and medical team safety. “Our focus at the site was on the building management system including airflow and chiller management,” said Jose Simon, vice president and general manager of projects, Honeywell Building Solutions.
We describe here a new micro-proteomics workflow that allows sensitive and reproducible genome-wide label-free proteomic analysis of individual staged barley anthers. Keywords: label-free micro-proteomics, plants, meiosis, anthers, meiocytes, mass spectrometry LC-MS/MSMaterials and Methods Chemicals and Reagents Complete protease inhibitor cocktail tablets (Cat No: 5892970001) were obtained from Roche. Additionally, Gene ontology (GO) annotations and InterPro domain searches were done to find functional annotations for all barley proteins. NU maintained barley plants, collected barley anthers for proteomic analysis and performed some experiments. Acknowledgments We would like to thank Kelly Hodge for technical help and Mikel Arrieta for providing pictures of barley anthers for Figure 1.

From the reviews:“This book presents recent updates and new concepts in the treatment of hydrocephalus from the fifth international workshop in Crete, Greece, May 20-23, 2010. … The audience includes adult and pediatric neurosurgeons and neurologists, family practitioners, biomedical personal, and neuroradiologists. It is good for university and department libraries. … This is a major contribution to the literature on the progress in the management of adult and pediatric hydrocephalus. It is timely and written by well-known authors in the field.” (Ramsis Farid Ghaly, Doody’s Review Service, June, 2012)
