my review: KLX vs CRF vs WRR vs DRZmy review(take with a grain of salt) as I have now owned all 4 dual sport bikes. CRF250Lbought brand new for $4500..power mods were FMF pc4,power commander,uni filter..the Honda bone stock was a way better performer than the Kawi stock(FI?) pros: priceFI starts up nicelygood bottom endcomfy,low seat heightsuspension slightly bettercons: weight(same as drz400)top end fizzles out vs klx3. pros: suspension greatestgood top endmost off road worthygood looking machineFI starts right upcons: PRICEnon-existant bottom endrequires most smog part removal4. DRZ400s(currently own)bike is bone stock powerwise..carburated but starts right up like FI.
The old WR vs DRZ vs KLX complex, I hope I have a solutionTo start, it has been years, literally around a decade since I have been on here. The pros of the WR: Lightweight (low center of gravity), reliability, modern suspension, six gears. However, I think it could be a good answer to the short falls of the WR and the DRZ. It is lighter (lower center of gravity) than the DRZ with a more modern suspension and a sixth gear. As per the power of the WR over the klx, the WR needs to rev to get its ponies.

Hey,The YZF is a race bike, highly tuned, but needs more maintenance. The other bikes have been around for a while, but in general, were never as popular as the Honda XR's. Roughly the same bike, just a little heavier and a good bit more power. Great handling, good power, very dependable. I've never been a fan of Suzuki, but they did a good job with the DRZ 400's.
Hi:Over the past 7 years I have had both an XR250 and a KLX300 and here are a few hints... The XR - puttsy, puttsy and more puttsy!! In stock form the bike was just way to slow for me. I was now riding the bike way beyond its intended suspention perameters.. I have heard that the 97 on ups are better suspended but I would NEVER risk it with the slew of new 250's out there that are FANASTIC (WR, WR, WR - you get the point).
