In comparison, the Yamaha R15 V4 sold in India offers 18.4bhp and 14.2Nm from its 155cc single-cylinder engine. Now the Honda CBR150R is an interesting proposition and a worthy rival to the R15 here.
Fitted with a 150 cc, DOHC 4-stroke, 1-cylinder engine and mated to a six-speed transmission, the CBR 150R Repsol Edition is a serious contender to the throne of the entry level sports bike. The new Honda CBR150R Repsol Edition has been unveiled in Malaysia, where it is being sold for the equivalent of $3,024 USD. The rest of Asia is expected to quickly follow Malaysia in offering the new race-replica liveried entry-level sportbike in the market. The CBR150R Repsol Edition immediately stands out because of its unique color scheme, which was inspired by Honda's MotoGP bike. For 2021 the Honda CBR150R, an entry-level supersport bike, has a CBR250RR-inspired look. The supersports bike draws power from a 50cc single-cylinder DOHC PGM-Fi engine that produces around 17hp at 9,000rpm and 14.4Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. All that power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed manual transmission with the addition of an assist/slipper clutch. Four colours are available for both the ABS and non-ABS versions – Victory Black Red, Honda Racing Red, Dominator Matte Black, and Matte Black. There’s also the Repsol Honda MotoGP edition reserved exclusively in the ABS offering.
CBR 150R Repsol Honda MotoGP Edition. Most obvious change for the 2019 Honda CBR150R is the graphics, which now comes in four variants including Repsol racing livery. Other changes include the installation of a wave petal design front disc brake while the front and rear suspension settings have been revised. From the safety point of view, the CBR150R now comes with ABS and Honda’s Emergency Stop Signal that flashes the rear brake light under hard braking. Aside from that, the CBR150R’s other equipment remains unchanged in 2019.
